Grimes was born in Dayton Ohio the son of a Pentecostal pastor. Grimes completed his studies at Dayton Christian High School in 2002. Luke Timothy Grimes is a U.S. citizen, born on January 21, 1984, in Dayton, Ohio. Randy Grimes the Pentecostal preacher and Angie Barker is his father. Luke Grimes comes from a trio of parents: Racheal Grimes (his sister), Abby Grimes (her brother), and Seth Grimes. Luke Grimes grew up with an orthodox and religious family. He attended Dayton Christian High School. When he graduated from high school, in 2002 Luke relocated to New York City to pursue his goal to become an actor. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he studied acting for two years. To improve his musical abilities the guitarist also enrolled in classes and singing.
