Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy, also known as Anne Frances Murphy, was born in 1986. The Canadian native has been working in the film industry on many different projects. She played the role of Alexis Rose for the CBC comedy television series Schitt's Trail that began in 2015 and ran until the year 2020. Her performance was praised by critics and won the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Parents of her worked as instructors. Elmwood School Ottawa was where she began performing on the stage. The next step was to apply for admission at Concordia University and pursue a theatre performance degree. From there, she attended courses at the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory in which acting classes were taught. When she was 22, she moved her family to Los Angeles where acting became her career. Annie Murphy's acting career began in 2007 when she made her debut appearance on television with an action-punk film titled Lethal Obsession. In the following years, she appeared in several films either as an actor or in smaller parts. Some of them are popular such as Story of Jen which was released in 2008 Lick released in 2010 as well as another smash A Windigo Tale which was made available that same year. In addition, she has appeared in Canadian television shows, including Good God which was broadcast in 2012. Rookie Blue that aired the in the same year. She has proven she is able to work on many different acting projects. Annie began her career as a struggling actor who struggled to establish her worthiness. Her memorable performances have made her a star of the entertainment and film industry. In addition, she starred on many American television shows like The Beautiful Life TBL (2009), Blue Mountain State (2010), Beaut & The Beast 2012 and a host of others. Annie Murphy has had a successful professional career working in a wide range of parts. Annie Murphy has won many awards and is a multi-award nominated actress. She was honored with the Screen Guild Award PrimeTime Emmy Award Screen Actors Guild Awards two Critics Choice Television Awards One Golden Globe Award and also was nominated for numerous awards for her amazing performances.
