He is the older son of Francesco "Frank" Stallone Jr. who was who is an Italian hairdresser as well as Jackie Stallone Sr., the astrologer/dancer. He has a younger brother named Frank Stallone, who is an actor and musician. Sylvester was left paralyzed on the lower left of his face as a result of complications during the birth of his child. The actor now sports his signature "snarling" expression and slightly high pitched voice. Because of the volatile family dynamics between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple divorced after a while. Stallone was a drama student in Switzerland at the American College before moving on to Miami University. He quit school prior to completing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
